PGR Film Club: Oscars Special! (In-Person)

Hi Barbies! Know your Poor Things from your Past Lives? Can you recall the best director nominees? Scrubbed up on your adapted screenplays?

Join the PGR Film Club with UGS Scholar Katrina and UGS team member Lara for an extra special pre-movie event to celebrate Hollywood’s biggest night. Test yourself and play along with our 2024 Oscar Film Quiz, before settling down to watch Oscar winning Little Women, directed by Greta Gerwig.

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s famous novels, the film follows the lives of four sisters as they struggle with the realities of adulthood during the end of the American Civil War. Jo March, a fledgeling author faced with genteel poverty in male-dominated New York City, reflects back and forth on her life, telling the beloved story of the March sisters - four young women, each determined to live life on her own terms.

Join the Oscars Quiz 5-6pm, and the film from 6.30pm. No need for teams, play as you are and get the chance to win a prize!
