PGR Research Poster Competition 2024: Information Drop-in (Online)

The University Graduate School's Research Poster Competition is an amazing chance to present your research to academics, UoB staff, external organisations, your fellow researchers, and the public.

The University Graduate School is hosting a Zoom drop-in session about all things related to the Research Poster Competition. If you would like an overview of the competition, tips and tricks about poster design, a discussion of previous winning entries, or you have any questions about the Research Poster Competition, please register for and attend this drop-in session. You will receive a zoom link to attend before the event.

What is the Research Poster Competition?

We are hosting a hybrid Postgraduate Research Festival on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 June 2024, a key part of which is our annual Research Poster Competition! Find out more.

This is the biggest celebration of postgraduate research at the University of Birmingham, giving postgraduate researchers from different disciplines the opportunity to share their research with academics, other members of the University, and their fellow researchers. All University of Birmingham Postgraduate Researchers (PhD, MRes, Higher doctorates etc.) are invited to exhibit a research poster as part of the event.

The theme of the 2024 PG research Festival is 'Collaboration and Connection', but your poster does not have to conform to any particular theme. Whether you're looking at diversity issues within the publishing industry, are conducting ground-breaking cancer research, or are disproving a centuries-old theorem, we would love to have you take part in this year's Research Poster Competition!

The Research Poster Competition also offers a host of cash prizes for the best posters, judged by academic staff and external organisations. It's open to any current UoB PGR, whether you are based on campus or at a distance.

This event is open only to University of Birmingham postgraduate researchers (PGR).

PGR programmes include: MPhil, MMus, MRes, MA by Research, MSc by Research, MLitt, PhD, PhD with integrated study, EngD, DDS, MD, Higher doctorates and Professional doctorates.
