During this lockdown, staff and students will continued to be welcomed to use the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy for private prayer, as well as attending Services led by a chaplain. You must follow social distancing rules and whilst in the building wear a face covering, unless you are exempt from doing so. Further information on hours opening times can be found online.
Whilst we remain open, please adhere to Government guidelines on non-essential travel during the current National Lockdown. We strongly encourage students to avoid coming onto to campus purely to use the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy.
To support the safe usage of the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy, we have prepared the following guidance
Individual worship guidance
For your own safety and the safety of other users, as well as ensuring we are fully compliant with the regulations, we will be allowing limited access for individual private prayer from Monday to Friday, between 12:30 and 4:30pm. We will remain closed for individual private prayer during weekends.
Congregational worship guidance
Congregational worship will take place only where there is a chaplain to facilitate and lead the Service.
Further safety measures
St Francis Hall users will be required to observe the following safety measures when visiting the building:
1. There should be no interaction between worshippers while in the building;
2. Users should not congregate or meet outside of the premises before or after a Service or individual prayer;
3. Users are encouraged to download and use the Government track-and-trace system. St. Francis Hall’s QR code is displayed by the Reception desk.
4. Maintain at least 2 meters social distancing when visiting the building.
Additionally, Chaplains will continue to support the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy community during this period. Chaplains are working and available via email, online, or by phone. If you wish to be contacted by a Full-Time Chaplain please email them your phone number so that they can contact you. In addition to the Full-Time Chaplains, we have Part-Time Chaplains representing a wider variety of traditions.
