The University of Birmingham Multi-Faith Chaplaincy and the Islamic Society warmly invites you to their annual University Community Iftar at the Great Hall and Chancellor’s Court on Wednesday 19 April 2023, from 7pm – 9pm. Their last Community Iftar was the biggest iftar in Birmingham with over 1,500 in attendance.
Prior to the Iftar, there will be an exhibition on Islam and its rich cultural and artistic history, which will take place in the Great Hall and will be open to the public, from 4pm. The exhibition has been curated by the MIAH Foundation and will feature a display of original artefacts and reproductions, including a facsimile of the Birmingham Qur'an Manuscript loaned by the Cadbury Research Library, and an arts and crafts table.
Iftar (free dinner) will be served from 8pm by Old Joe, in Chancellor's Court. For further information and to register attendance, please visit the event's Eventbrite page.
Everyone is welcome!
