Get your food shop for just £5 at the Community Pantry Eco Shop
Looking to save money on your food shop this summer?
The Guild of Students is teaming up with FareShare Midlands to launch the Community Pantry Eco Shop, giving students the chance to get around £25 worth of food for just £5.
The first event will take place on Friday 5 June from 12-13:00 in the Guild Car Park, with more dates planned for 12 and 19 June.
Expect a mix of fresh fruit and veg, cupboard essentials and chilled or frozen food. All items are surplus food donations, helping to reduce food waste while making food more affordable for students.
What you need to know
- Tickets must be booked through the Guild website in advance.
- Tickets are free online, but you will pay £5 on the day.
- This is a cashless event, so only card and Apple Pay payments will be accepted.
- Food is available on a first come, first served basis, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
- Please bring your own shopping bag.
- Some items may be chilled or frozen, so make sure you can refrigerate them soon after collecting your food.
