Wetherspoon is coming to campus

Joe’s Bar is back — now operating as Wetherspoon @ Joe’s, bringing longer opening hours, more food, more shifts, and the same student-only energy for your favourite Guild nights.

Joe’s had its final pre-refurb Sports Night on Wednesday 25 March before closing for the makeover, and now the doors are open again just in time for the big celebrations.

Grad Ball

Good news: the Grad Ball After Party is going ahead at the new Wetherspoon @ Joe’s. Refurbishment will be complete in time for Grad Ball, so there will be no impact on the celebrations.

What’s new?

Wetherspoon @ Joe’s will be open from 8am until midnight, seven days a week, with food served from 8.30am until 11pm. That means breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night chips, post-lecture pints, and everything in between.

Even better, it will now be open for 50 weeks of the year, including during Easter and summer vacation periods.

Student jobs and shifts

Student staff will continue to be employed by the Guild. The new partnership also means more opportunities, including extra shifts for students who want to earn while they learn.

Guild events

Guild events held at Wetherspoon @ Joe’s, including Sports Night, will remain student-only, so you can still expect the same campus atmosphere, just with a fresh new look and extended opening hours.

Wetherspoon @ Joe’s is open, refreshed, and ready for campus life!
