Christian Union Events Week continues

The University of Birmingham’s Christian Union is inviting all students to thought-provoking discussions, free meals and community activities until 13 February. Throughout this week, the marquee next to Old Joe will host a packed programme of events designed to spark curiosity, encourage open conversation and offer space for thoughtful discussion.

Events are running from 9:00 each day, with opportunities for all students to drop in, chat and enjoy a welcoming space on campus.

Daily schedule

  • Free lunches: 12:00 – 12:50 and 13:00 – 13:50

  • International sessions: 17:00 – 18:20

  • Free dinners: 19:00 – 21:00

Talks programme

Each day explores a different theme through separate talks at lunch, international sessions, and dinner sessions, led by guest speakers. Topics are designed to spark thoughtful discussion about faith, meaning, and the world around us:

  • Wednesday: If there’s a God, why is everything so messed up?

  • Thursday: Is this life all there is?

  • Friday: Flags, carols and crosses: what would Jesus say to the far right?

Whether you are curious or simply looking for good food and good conversation, the Christian Union Events Week offers a warm invitation to all students.

Look for the marquee by Old Joe and drop in today or later this week!
