Remember the clocks change this Sunday 29 March
At 2am on Sunday 26 March, the time will jump straight to 3am, which means you’ll lose an hour of sleep. It’s a small shift, but it can easily catch you out – especially if you’ve got early plans, travel booked, or deadlines to stay on top of.
Why the change?
The move to BST helps make better use of natural daylight during the spring and summer. Mornings might feel a little darker at first, but you’ll notice much lighter evenings.
What this means for you
- Check your alarms – most devices update automatically, but it’s worth confirming.
- Give yourself a bit of extra time on Monday – the first day after the change can feel a little sluggish.
- If you’re travelling, double‑check your journey times and give yourself plenty of time.
The upside is that longer, lighter evenings are on the way – ideal for getting outside, meeting friends, or enjoying a bit more daylight after your lectures.
