Need extra funding? Apply for a £1,000 grant
Applications for the Brighter Future Grant are still open! Student life can be expensive and that’s why we’re pleased to partner up with Santander to offer ten lucky UoB students the chance to win one £1,000 (cash award) each to spend on rent, bills, groceries, study resources or anything else you need.
All our students are eligible to enter, whether you’re an undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time or full-time student, and you don’t need to bank with Santander.
Apply in just a few minutes by following these simple steps:
- If you haven't already, register for the Santander Open Academy- a free online learning platform.
- Follow the verification link in your confirmation email.
- Log in and choose ‘Get Started’ to complete your entry into the Brighter Futures Grants programme. From the menu you need to select University of Birmingham.
Make sure you apply by 11.59pm on Thursday 3 December 2026 to be in with a chance to win a grant.
Whether you get selected for the grant or not, every student who registers gets free access to thousands of online learning content through the Santander Open Academy that can help you with your studies – good luck!
