Volunteer at the IBSA World Games 2023 this summer

How would you like to be part of one the world's biggest gathering of blind and partially sighted athletes?

Volunteering opportunities are now open for the International Blind Sport Federation (IBSA) World Games taking place in Birmingham and the wider region between the 18 – 27 August 2023.

After the success of the Commonwealth Games last year, we’re proud to be hosting archery, blind football, chess, judo, and showdown. Other sports, such as tennis, goalball, ten pin bowling, cricket and powerlifting will be hosted at other venues in the region.

Volunteers will be needed at every venue to help with classification, assisting athletes within the World Games villages, creating content in the media and marketing team, and at training and competition sessions.

Not only will you be part of a global multi-sport event, but you’ll also gain valuable experience and skills which will look great on your CV! If this sounds like something you’re interested in, please complete the IBSA World Games 2023 application form.

The Volunteer Programme is managed by Power of People Ltd, on behalf of Sport Birmingham. Successful applicants will be contacted throughout June and July.

If you’d like to find out more about the Games, and how we’re preparing campus, check out our IBSA World Games 2023 pages on the intranet.
