Supporting you in your final year re-assessments

Are you a graduating final year Undergraduate Bachelors or Undergraduate (integrated) Masters student, who failed a final year module? Try not to worry too much, you have the opportunity to enter for re-assessment during the Summer Supplementary Exam period.

Do you need to retake one or more failed modules during your final year of your Undergraduate Masters or Bachelor’s degree? Don’t worry, you now have the option to resit final year modules during the supplementary examination period in August 2024.

Your options

As in previous years, if you’ve achieved enough credits to graduate, you can maintain your current mark and graduate in July 2024.

Alternatively, you have the option to resit your failed final year modules during the August 2024 supplementary examination period, in which case:

  • Your graduation ceremony will be moved to Winter 2024 (please note you would not then receive a certificate until Winter 2024).
  • Your mark will be capped at the pass mark.

Resit decisions should be confirmed by 5pm on Friday 21 June 2024. If you choose to take the reassessment, please complete the ‘Final Year Reassessment – Defer Graduation’ form on the Student Gateway.

While this might seem like a difficult decision to make, we offer a range of help and resources to help you. To learn more about your options, head to the Registry section of the student intranet to find out more.
