Birmingham Pride 2022 (1)

Get ready to march, dance, and celebrate as we hit the streets for this year’s Birmingham Pride Parade on Saturday 24 May.

We're teaming up with local universities to show the world that higher education stands proud and loud for LGBTQ+ equality.

Hundreds of our students, staff and alumni, including family, friends and allies, marched together at last year’s parade. his year, we're going even bigger, bolder, and brighter and we want you with us.

So grab your flags, throw on your glitter, and let’s paint Birmingham with love, pride, and a whole lot of colour!

What can I do if I can't make the parade?

The University of Birmingham's Library has a host of LGBTQ+ resources you can explore, including the LGBT Magazine Archive and LGBT Thought and Culture, and find out about the first Birmingham Pride from our collections. You can also watch Prof. Mo Moulton discuss how they use the Archives of Sexuality and Gender in their teaching.
