Last chance to win one of ten £1K grants

Have you applied for the Brighter Futures Grant yet? It only takes a few minutes!

To help support UoB students with living and study costs, all students have the chance to win one of ten grants, each worth £1,000 thanks to our partnership with Santander Universities. 

If you haven’t yet applied, here’s how:

• Register for the Santander Open Academy, a free online learning platform.
• Follow the verification link in your confirmation email (check your junk folder if it's not in your inbox).
• Log in and choose ‘Get Started’ to complete your entry into the Brighter Futures Grants programme. From the menu you need to select University of Birmingham.
• Get your entries submitted by 11pm on Thursday 15 May 2025. Winners will be selected at random and informed in June. 

All students can enter including undergraduates, postgraduates, part-time and full-time students, and you don’t need to bank with Santander to take part.

You can use the grants for anything you need, whether it’s buying tech or textbooks or covering living expenses like rent and bills – the choice is yours.
