University of Birmingham rises again in global rankings
The University of Birmingham has climbed four places this year to 76th in the world and hit our highest-ever position in the UK, now ranked 11th nationally!
It’s the third year in a row we’ve gone up, and it's all happening in our 125th anniversary year – not bad, right?
Professor Adam Tickell, Vice-Chancellor commented:
“As we celebrate our 125th anniversary this year, I’m delighted that Birmingham is continuing to impress. Our world-class reputation for academic excellence allows us to welcome the best students and researchers from around the globe, and our sustained rise in this influential ranking confirms the University of Birmingham’s status as one of the world’s leading universities."
This builds on our strong showing earlier this year in the QS World University Rankings by Subject, which saw six subjects placing in the Top 50 another twenty in the top 100.
Professor Deborah Longworth, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) said:
“The University of Birmingham is an exciting place to be. Our continuing success in the QS World University Rankings highlights that, in both Birmingham and Dubai, we continue to deliver the highest quality academic experience - stretching and challenging our students to achieve a degree that will enhance professional opportunities around the world, and to contribute to society as leaders, innovators, and global citizens.”
Thanks for being part of this journey. Let’s keep aiming higher – together!
