Become a Postgraduate Taught Ambassador and get a £1,000 scholarship

Want to represent the University Graduate School, deliver exciting events and activities and help enhance and build the Postgraduate Taught student community? Why not become a PGT ambassador. 

The University Graduate School are currently accepting applications to become a PGT Ambassador. The ambassador roles also come with a generous £1,000 scholarship, and will run from November 2021 to August 2022.  If you are passionate about delivering engaging events to fellow PGT students, building supportive communities and want to boost your experience and CV, then you might just have what it takes to be a UGS PGT Ambassador.  There are ten ambassador roles available. 

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 10 November (23.59 GMT), so there's still time to perfect and submit your applications!

Who can be a UGS PGT Ambassador?

The UGS PGT Ambassador roles are open to any University of Birmingham PGT student who will not complete their studies before the end of August 2022.  PGT is defined as students on the following courses: MA, MSc, MBA, MEd, LLM, MPH, Maths SKE, MPA, PG Affiliate, PG Certificate, PG Dip Ed, PG Diploma, and PGCE. Applications are welcome from students from all colleges, who meet this criteria.

What is the University Graduate School?

The University Graduate School enables postgraduates from across the University to integrate and cooperate, intellectually and socially. The UGS supports postgraduate student-led interdisciplinary workshops and conferences, social events, training, and networking. Our PGT events help you make the most of your studies at Birmingham, through developing your research skills, your social networks, and supporting your wellbeing.
