Take the Race Equality Charter survey

We want to hear from all students about your views on race equality at UoB and the City of Birmingham. All you have to do is spend a few minutes filling in our Race Equality Charter survey. You'll also have the chance to win £50 of catering credits to spend on campus.

The survey is open now, until Sunday 20 November 2022, and it's your chance to help us make UoB a more equal, diverse, and inclusive place to be.

“Racial inequalities continue to affect Higher Education. That is an unacceptable reality. We all need to play a role in overcoming inequality wherever we find it, and we need fellow students to shape the agenda and bring about real change. So, we’re asking all students to take a few minutes to share your voice through 2022’s Race Equality Charter survey.” - Equality Diversity and Inclusion Student Ambassador Zainab Rao.

Deputy Director of Student Affairs (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion), Dr Sammy Li said, “Birmingham is an ethnically diverse community with nearly half of our students and our city’s population coming from ethnic minority backgrounds. Although great progress has been made in reducing racial inequalities at UoB, more needs to be done. The Race Equality Charter survey provides a fantastic opportunity to perform a health check of the University, to let us know what’s working and what’s not. So, get involved, take the survey, and help us continue to improve on racial equality.”
