Postgraduate Taught students, it's time for you to have your say!

Starting today, the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) is now open for all eligible postgraduate taught students to complete. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts about your course and wider University experience – what we’re doing well and what you think we could be doing better.

Your opinion does matter to us. We’ll use your feedback to make a real difference to both current and future postgraduate taught students. You can read more about the positive changes we’ve made thanks to previous student feedback in this news story.

Since PTES is a confidential survey, undertaken by Advance HE, you can be completely honest about your university experience whilst remaining anonymous.

And as a thank you for your time, five students who are eligible to take part in the survey will win a £150 cash prize each! Don’t miss out.

How do I take part?

If you’re a postgraduate taught student, and eligible to take part, you can share your views through the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES). You’ll receive an invitation to your UoB student inbox which contains a personalised link to the survey. You can also log in manually using this link, and following these instructions:

  • Respondent ID - this is your full University of Birmingham student ID number (you'll find this on your ID card)
  • Password - this is your date of birth in the following format DD/MM/YYYY (including the / / ) For example, if your birthday was 14th February 2002, your password would be 14/02/2002

Whilst this survey isn’t compulsory, it’s a great chance for you to make your voice heard and make a difference. It only takes around 10 minutes to complete.
