Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)

The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey will reopen from 13 March 2023.

PTES 323x164

We want all our current and future postgraduates to have the best possible experience.

Postgraduate taught students will have the chance to tell the University about their experience through the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES).

PTES is open to all postgraduate taught students at the University of Birmingham. This is a national survey run by Advance HE together with the University of Birmingham and asks you about your experiences of your postgraduate taught programme. PTES is a great opportunity for you to share your honest feedback, helping us to understand what you most value and enjoy about your University experience, and also tell us what you recommend should be improved.

This survey runs every year and will next take place from March 2023. Please check back or keep an eye on our student communication channels for further updates.

In the meantime, you can provide feedback in a variety of ways:

  • By contacting the University Graduate School, which supports Birmingham postgraduate community;
  • Reaching out to your UGS Scholar with comments about or ideas for PGR events and activities;
  • Getting in touch with your Student Rep with general feedback about your course or University experience;
  • Writing to your School or College academic PGT Lead.
