Fancy a slice? Legendary drag queen, Ginny Lemon, is coming to campus
As we continue our LGBTQ+ History Month celebrations, join us on Thursday 20 February when drag queen icon Ginny Lemon will be coming to campus! From 18:00-19:30 taking place in the Main Lecture Theatre in the Arts Building, Ginny Lemon will be discussing their personal journey in embracing their non-binary identity while becoming a successful drag performer and recording artist.
They are best known for competing on the second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and have made inspiring performances such as their appearance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony in Birmingham.

Having studied at Birmingham themselves, they’ll be sharing their experiences of how they’ve had to overcome boundaries on the road to success all while navigating their true self.
Wanting to find out more? The talk will be followed by a Q&A so don’t be shy to drop in any questions!
