Pritchatts Park takes the crown

UoB’s Student Living Team have won the 'University Halls of Residence' award at the Property Week Student Accommodation 2024 Awards, the biggest and most prestigious event in the student housing sector.  

The awards recognise those who have gone above and beyond to provide the best student homes in the UK. It was our low-carbon townhouses at Pritchatts Park Village that struck a chord with the judges.  

As the University’s most sustainable student village, the townhouses feature motion-sensor lighting and double glazing for optimal heat insulation and are equipped with solar panels to provide renewable energy to the site. Judges were also impressed by the townhouses’ inclusivity; with thirteen fully accessible student bedrooms, doubling the number across the University, more of our diverse student population can participate fully in campus life. 

This focus has been carried through to the village’s new, easy-to-access student hub – a place for residents to relax, study, and enjoy free events as part of Student Living’s free Residence Life scheme.
