Save the date: UoB Xtra 2025

Get ready for an unforgettable June packed with three weeks of FREE awesome activities and events.  

From Monday 9 - Friday 27 June 2025, get 'Xtra' from your time here with us. Unwind with our free social activities such as our outdoor cinema, giant inflatable games and our Campus 3K. Connect with new students and friends while having fun. And learn new skills and qualifications to level up your LinkedIn profile or CV. 

This year, we’re also celebrating our 125th anniversary so it’ll be a truly memorable summer with lots to look forward to – get your party hats ready!  

All will be revealed at the end of March through your student emails and University of Birmingham social media.

Summer Term timetabled sessions 

Following your feedback, we know how important it is for you to prepare for your next steps. Alongside 'UoB Xtra', our Summer Term also continues for all students (undergraduate and postgraduate) until Friday 27 June 2025.  

Tailored for your area of study, the Summer Term programme is designed to help you learn and develop your academic skills and knowledge. Whether you are heading on to your next year of study or moving onto life as a UoB graduate, there are specific timetabled sessions planned for you. You can check your sessions through MyUoB.
