Grab your free D-lock and learn about bike safety on campus

Cycling to and from campus is a great way to travel - it’s cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and can halve your commute time but it’s also important to know how to secure your bike.

UoB can help. We’ve compiled a list of measures we’ve taken to crack down on bike theft, as well as general safety tips to keep your bike safe.

Pick up your free D-lock during Bike Safety Week

Bike Safety Week is happening on campus from Monday 7 October to Friday 11 October. The Community Safety Team will be on hand to issue free D-locks between 12 and 4pm at UoB accommodation and key building locations. Plus on the Wednesday you can have the chance to win a £100 voucher to spend at Gear Up, the University's cycle shop. Find out more.
