Hazaar pop-up market comes to UoB

Looking to make some extra money or to get ahead on your Christmas shopping? Hazaar, the zero-waste student marketplace, is giving UoB students the chance to buy and sell preloved items at a pop-up market on campus. 

Shopping second-hand is beneficial to not only our wallets, but also the planet. Instead of buying new this festive season, Hazaar offers the opportunity to support local sellers and shop sustainably on campus. 

Date: Monday 18 November 2024 

Time: 11:00am to 4:30pm 

Location: The underpass next to the food trucks by Ryman’s and Costa (between R2 and R24 on the campus map).  

What to expect at the pop-up market

• Preloved items including clothing, accessories, household items, textbooks and sportswear. 
• Unique, hand-made items from local independent businesses and student sellers such as jewellery, prints and clothing. 
• Vintage clothing and accessories. 
• Student-friendly prices, discounted items, bundles and freebies. 
• The chance to shop sustainably on campus with friends. 

Get involved as a seller

Hazaar is offering 10 free spaces for UoB students to sell alongside popular local independent businesses on the day. If you have preloved items to sell or a creative side hustle you’d like to showcase, this is a great opportunity for you. Apply for one of the free spots now.
