Thank you for a spectacular 125th anniversary year!

2025 marked 125 years of the UoB’s history, and as part of our celebrations, we’ve shared archival images of students and campus life from the early 1900s. Inspired by these, we invited staff and students to take photos with our special 125 miniature Old Joe – creating new snapshots of UoB life today that future generations can look back on during the next milestone!

As this year comes to an end, this photo collage is the perfect reminder that you, our students, are at the very heart of the University of Birmingham.
