Trans Day of Remembrance Service: Honouring lives, inspiring action

The Multifaith Chaplaincy and the Rainbow Network invite students and staff to gather for the annual Trans Day of Remembrance service – a poignant moment to honour the lives of transgender people lost to anti-transgender violence over the past year.

Date: Thursday 20 November 2025
Location: noon – 13:00
Time: Worship Room, Multifaith Chaplaincy

The service will centre on remembrance and celebration. We will reflect on the real stories of our Trans siblings – lives lived with courage, creativity, and resilience – and acknowledge the profound contributions of the Trans community to arts and culture.

In light of the rising tide of anti-trans discourse and violence, the service will also be a call to action. Attendees will be invited to consider what meaningful commitments they can make in the coming year to support and uplift the Trans community. Whether through advocacy, education, or everyday acts of solidarity, we can all make a positive impact.

Let’s come together not only to remember, but to recommit to justice, compassion, and to the celebration of every identity.
