Have your say

The National Student Survey (NSS) is now open to all final year students at participating higher education providers in the UK, and presents an opportunity to reflect on your experiences at university. It is run by the Office for Students, an independent regulator of higher education, and Ipsos MORI, a market research company.  Eligible students may be contacted by their School and Department, and independently by Ipsos MORI. By completing the NSS you will help to ensure the outcome represents the views of all our students.

The UK Engagement survey (UKES) is now open to non-final year students.  Eligible student will receive an email inviting them to take part and give feedback on independent study, critical thinking, interactions with staff, personal development skills and research and inquiry.

The surveys are an important tool for students can reflect on their experience at Birmingham, and offer honest and confidential feedback to help us to understand what is working, and where we need to make further enhancements. When the results are published, we read every comment and use the results to develop an action plan for each School and Department to ensure we are providing the best possible learning experience for all.

The surveys are now available to complete via the student intranet, where you can also find out more about your chance to win an exclusive trip to the top of Old Joe (for NSS eligible students) or one of 5 x £100 amazon vouchers (for UKES eligible students).
