Moving out? Remember to dispose of any waste responsibly!

There have been recent reports from members of the local community that students have not been disposing of waste properly. If you’re moving out of Selly Oak this week, please remember to be considerate towards the local community,  ensure you remove any waste or unwanted items responsibly and keep Selly Oak clean and tidy.

If you have excess waste you can arrange a collection of bulky waste (e.g. desks, chairs and beds).  Remember, you can be fined for leaving rubbish on the street, and the Council regularly patrol Selly Oak, so please dispose of your waste responsibly. Extra waste collections have also been arranged and will be around Selly today and tomorrow as part of the 'mobile' HRC (household refuse centre).

You can also donate any unwanted items (clothes, shoes, house items etc.) to Junkbusters, who have stalls available around Selly Oak for you to drop your unwanted items off.  See the full list of locations and items that are accepting for donations.
