University of Birmingham Celebrates LGBT+ History Month 2021
I am delighted to invite you to take part in LGBT+ History Month at the University of Birmingham. Students and staff from across the University have developed a varied programme of virtual events, which will be running throughout February.
LGBT+ History Month is about increasing the visibility of LGBT+ people, their histories and their lived experiences. It is an opportunity for the whole University community to come together to increase our understanding of LGBT+ issues and to reaffirm our commitment to LGBT+ equality.
With events covering history and literature, lived experiences in STEM (science, engineering, technology and mathematics) and an interview with a pioneering BBC journalist, there is something for everyone.
For the events programme visit: www.birmingham.ac.uk/lgbthm or follow the LGBTQ+ Association @UoBLGBTQ and oSTEM at UoB @oSTEM_bham on Twitter for updates.
I hope you will join us in celebrating and commemorating LGBT+ History.
Best wishes,
Jo
