Update following Prime Minister's announcement (22 February)

Many of you will have seen the Prime Minister’s announcement yesterday regarding the gradual easing and road map out of lockdown restrictions. Michelle Donelan, Minister of State for Universities, has confirmed the Government is ‘allowing providers to invite students on practical courses and creative subjects who need to access specialist facilities and equipment back to in-person teaching and learning from Monday 8 March’. We are currently working through which courses this applies to, so please wait to hear from us before you make any plans to return.

The Government have also advised that they will review the guidance on return for all other students by the end of the Easter holidays.  As always we will update you on what all of these developments mean for students and university operations as soon as possible and ask for your patience while we work through the detail.

We’d also like to remind you that for those students that do need to be on campus and are in our accommodation, we are continuing to offer serial asymptomatic testing which you book here.
