Secure your place at the July 2022 graduations
Finishing your studies soon and graduating? You have until Tuesday 1 March 2022 to reserve your place at your Degree Congregation - don’t miss out!
Graduation is the highlight of the academic year, and we are really looking forward to the celebrations this summer.
We know it’s a long way off, but if you want to attend the July Degree Congregations you need to reserve your place by 23:59 (GMT) on Tuesday 1 March 2022.
How do I reserve a place at the July Degree Congregations?
Please log into the Student Gateway to confirm that you would like to attend your Degree Congregation.( If you experience problems logging into the Student Gateway, please contact IT Services.) After you log in, the link to ‘reply to your Degree Congregation invitation’ will be located under ‘Exams and Assessment’ in your Gateway. You must do this by Tuesday 1 March 2022 to secure a place at your Degree Congregation. There is no need to wait for confirmation of your results before confirming your attendance.
If you do not respond to the invitation in the Gateway before Tuesday 1 March 2022 a place will not be secured for you at the July Degree Congregations, so please don’t delay.
If you let us know that you would like to attend a Degree Congregation before the deadline, we will get back in touch to confirm the exact date and time of your ceremony in late March. This email will also contain information about how to prepare for your graduation day, including how to book your gown hire and photography, your allocation of tickets and how to let us know if you have any access requirements. In the meantime, please visit our website for ongoing updates about plans for the July ceremonies.
Please note that communications about your ceremony and related activities do not confirm successful completion of your degree and should not be taken as proof that you are, or will be, eligible to graduate. Only students who successfully complete a degree programme at the University of Birmingham can attend a Degree Congregation.
