#JustBe

Thanks to all of you who submitted your #JustBe photos ahead of the Festival. Don’t miss out on our spectacular display of all images projected on to Old Joe this evening (5-6pm) to see what you wanted to #JustBe this year.

What can I get involved in?

Focus on your wellbeing

Hear from Erin Libetta from the Wellbeing Team as she shares some of the exciting activities you can get involved in. Watch now.

Have fun and unwind

UoBe Festival wouldn’t be complete without Festival Square, join us for live music and dance performances from student bands and groups, tasty food with Digbeth Dining Club and fun fair rides. You can also enjoy movie nights, the One World Festival, a treasure hunt, meet some of our student societies with the Guild of Students and have another chance to win a LEGO Old Joe.

Develop yourself

Enhance your CV and personal skills by attending an interview skills workshop with Vodafone, learn Calligraphy with the UoB Calligraphy Society, create your own Old Joe Canvas at an e-textiles workshop and hear from staff about working in the charity sector in our charity masterclass.

Hear from the experts

The Festival will feature sessions hosted by famous faces and high-profile speakers, including a talk by author Helen Cooper, who shares her career journey and advice on how to write a bestselling book.

Represent your College

Represent your College, lead them to victory and claim the ultimate bragging rights in the College Cup, play in 6-a-side football, badminton, basketball, netball and hockey competitions. You can also compete in non-sporting activities like the ‘Fast Fiction’ short story competition. Or, if you’re not the competitive type, sign up to our ‘social sport’ sessions with friends or meet new students while learning a new sport.

Find out more about UoBe Festival, view the timetable and book an event today! Slots at popular activities went quickly last year so don’t miss out…
