Documents at the start of the Academic Year
We know that getting your student ID card and proof of your studies is really important at the start of the Academic Year, and we hope to make the process as straightforward as possible.
ID cards
- If you start your studies in September, you will either receive your ID card through the post or by visiting the Welcome Registration Hub. See our essential tasks for new students to find out how you will get yours.
- If you are starting at another point in the year, you can request an ID card to be posted to you or visit us in the Aston Webb Student Hub.
If you are required to complete a Right to Study check, you will need to complete that before you can receive your ID card. You can also view our ID card FAQs for answers to the most common ID card queries or to ask a specific question online.
Letters
The official proof of study letter available through Gradintelligence has been designed to be used for a variety of purposes. If you want to include information other than what is included in our standard template, this would be classified as a bespoke letter. Please see the bespoke letter request form.

Our studenthelp website has information on a wide range of Hub services from administration to specialist support, registration to graduation and beyond. It contains more than 1000 FAQs as well as the ability to log a query online, where it will be answered as swiftly as possible by the best placed team to deal with your request.
