My term-time address is correct; why am I still getting emails?
The emails asking you to update your term-time address are automated. They will generate if there is information missing from your term-time address, if your term-time address has expired, or if it is due to expire shortly. All addresses in Online Registration have an end date attached to them.
If you believe your address is correct, please check the following:
1. Check you have a term-time address listed
On the Address Details page, check the list of addresses which are showing for you. You should have both a 'Home' and 'Termtime' address showing. If you live at home during your studies, you should enter your address as both your Termtime and Home address. You can enter the end date as the end of your course.
2. Check the address details have saved correctly
On the Address Details page, click on the 'Current' link next to your current address to open the address details. Please ensure that any fields with a red asterisk are completed, including the accommodation type. Even if you think you have already completed this, please check as it may not have saved correctly.
3. Check the end date for the address
On the Address Details page, check the list of addresses which are showing for you and the dates for which these are valid. If your 'Termtime' address is showing as 'Previous', rather than 'Current', or you can see the end date is imminent, you can either add a new address or, if the address is still correct, extend the end date.
4. Check there is no gap in the date range between your previous and current address
On the Address Details page, check the list of addresses which are showing for you and the dates for which these are valid. There should not be a gap between your 'Previous' and 'Current' addresses. If there is, you will continue to receive emails asking you to update your term-time address. You can extend the end date of your previous address, or make the start date of your current address earlier. Don't overlap the dates; your current address should be valid from the day after your previous address ends. For example, if your previous address ends on 30/06/17, your current address should begin on 01/07/17.
