Secure Documents website: missing or incorrect documents
If you cannot find the document you are looking for, please read the following notes.
Certificates
If you are awarded a Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree, your electronic certificate will be published to the Secure Documents website (Verify) after you have graduated. Please note it may take up to 5 working days after your graduation ceremony has taken place for us to publish your electronic certificate.
If you are awarded a "non-graduatable" qualification, your electronic certificate will be published to the Secure Documents website (Verify) approximately 6-8 weeks after you complete your programme. If you completed a Boot Camp, please use the following contacts for replacement certificates:
- If you studied in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (for example, Full Stack Coding, Data Analysis, UXUI, Web Development, Cyber Security, Net Zero Together), please email epsbootcamps@contacts.bham.ac.uk .
- If you studied in the College of Arts and Law (for example, Data Skills for Creative Industries, Drama and Scripted TV), please calbootcamps@contacts.bham.ac.uk .
Transcripts
An electronic transcript should be available on the Secure Documents website (Verify) throughout your studies, and after completion.
When a change is made to your student record (for example, the release of a mark), it can take upto 5 working days for us to update your transcript, and the old version may be taken down during this time.
Provisional marks cannot be displayed on transcripts. For more information, please see: Why are some marks missing from my transcript?

GPA certificates
Electronic GPA certificates (where applicable) are available on the Secure Documents website (Verify) 5 working days after your degree classification is released by your school.
GPA certificates are only available for students who graduated in July 2019 or later, with a classified Bachelors or Undergraduate Masters degree. We are therefore not able to issue GPA Certificates for:
- Postgraduate courses, such as 1- or 2-year Masters courses, or research degrees.
- Non-graduatable or alternative qualifications.
- Degrees which do not have a degree classification (1st, 2:1, 2:2 or 3rd class), such as Medicine.
- Students who graduated before July 2019.
