Whether you're a seasoned runner, or just a casual stroller, our '3k Your Way' is open to absolutely everyone. Come along with some pals or alone, get some fresh summer air and enjoy the greenery on our beautiful campus.

Work on a real-life challenge with top employers

Aimed at first years, take part in the Birmingham Project, an intensive but exciting one-week challenge. Working with top employers like HSBC, Transport for West Midlands and Expedia Group, grow your network and level up your team working and enterprising skills in this employer endorsed programme. An impressive addition for your CV to wow future employers!

AI is changing the job industry

In a world where AI is threatening to take many jobs, come along to this session to find out just what skills you will need to secure a role, and how to AI proof your career! You'll hear from tech experts about the latest developments in AI, career and industry experts about what's happening in their sector and how to secure your graduate role.

Postgraduate Professional Development Award

Designed for postgraduate students, the Postgraduate Professional Development Award supports you to develop, reflect on and articulate key employability skills. Careers Network will be running workshops throughout the week to support those who are working towards achieving the award. 

Postgraduate Research Festival

  • From Tuesday 18 - Wednesday 19 June, 12:00-18:00 (on 18) and 10:00-18:00 (on 19)
  • Teaching and Learning Building

Open to undergraduates as well as postgraduates, enjoy this top event. With on-site exhibitions where you can rep your research to talks from inspiring speakers, workshops and a drinks celebration, you're not going to want to miss this. 

I am really looking forward to UoB Xtra! The Guild will be putting on our annual Grad Ball, and we have worked with students to bring back the iconic music festival, Valefest, which showcases student artists.
