How to keep us up-to-date by changing your personal details, such as your address and telephone numbers.

Keep us up to date

It is your responsibility to ensure that your personal details - such as your address and date of birth are correct and up-to-date. We may need to contact you, or you may find that official documentation from the University contains the wrong information if you do not let us know.


Where to check your details

The information that the University has about you can be found in the registration pages of the student portal at my.bham

Changing your details

To access the registration pages log into the portal with your ADF username and password and click on the My Programme tab, followed by Registration, and then Online Registration

From here you can select the category you wish to check and update the information online. When you click Submit the information will feed directly into the Taught Student Administration database "BANNER". 

It is essential that you enter a current term-time and home address and keep these up-to-date throughout the year.


What can't I change?

There are certain fields that you will not be able to update via the portal, these are:

  • Residence at time of Admission 
  • Ethnicity
  • Nationality 
  • Date of Birth 
  • Name

The University requires an official document as evidence before we can update these details. If you need to make changes or update any of the information held by the University in the list above, please visit the personal details help pages.
