What is a statement?
A statement, or proof of registration letter, is an official document that confirms that you are, or were, a registered student with the University of Birmingham. You may require a statement when you need to provide evidence of your studies, such as when opening a student bank account or applying for a travel visa. The University offers a variety of statements to suit common scenarios where a student may need a letter.
All statements from the University of Birmingham will contain certain information as standard, such as your name, your programme of study, and your dates of registration. Depending on the purpose for which you require a statement, additional information may be included on request. Please note that only factual information that can be verified on the University's systems can be included.
Current information on how to access letters is available on our studenthelp information page.
