The software
The University’s common timetabling platform uses the Enterprise Timetabler software, produced by Scientia Ltd.
Enterprise Timetabler will be used by staff across the University, in both Colleges and Corporate Services, to manage timetable data.
Integration with University systems
Enterprise Timetabler is integrated with key University business systems: Banner (to obtain programme, module, programme and module relationship, student, and student module registration data), and AltaHR (to obtain staff data).
Online functionality
Two services integrated with the Enterprise Timetabler are available to all members of staff via the my.bham staff portal:
- Web Timetables, accessed via the ‘my.timetables’ tab, displays all events scheduled within centrally-managed teaching space, and is searchable via Department, Location or Module. The interface also provides an option to search for out-of-hours bookings, taking place after 19.00.
- Web Room Booking, accessed via the ‘my.campus’ tab, allows staff to book centrally-managed space for non-teaching events. The service requires log-in using your Active Directory username and password. Bookings made via the service can be viewed and managed directly within the interface.
