The Campus Services People and Culture Plan makes a clear commitment to how we will treat each other and how we can create a culture where everyone can be their best.
It builds upon the great work being carried out in many of our departments and sets common goals across Campus Services. It is an operational plan – like the business plans developed within departments – and is set over a five-year timeframe. It aims to bring the University’s ‘People & Culture’ pillar of the Framework to life in Campus Services and covers all aspects of the employee journey from first engagement with the University to moving onto new endeavours.
It is simple, concise, and accessible to all; it promotes empowerment and responsibility; and it has been co-created, and will be delivered, in conjunction with a variety of Campus Services colleagues. The document will be continually reviewed to ensure that is fully embedded and so that it resonates with every member of staff.

How will this work be delivered?
As we roll out our People and Culture Plan, you can have your say and shape this work moving forward through joining our People and Culture Group. The group is comprised of the following Workstreams, who will deliver on our commitments:
- Workstream 1: A Culture Collaboration Engagement and Agility
- Workstream 2: Attracting and Recruiting Great People
- Workstream 3: Developing and Retaining our People
- Workstream 4: Leadership & Management Development
Whilst the workstreams mentioned above will deliver on our commitments, there is a wider Working Group who will ensure progress is being maintained, our ambitions are being realised, and there is an on-going dialogue.
