A course for UoB staff and students who want to learn how to ride a bike. The first three sessions will teach how to pedal and glide (learn to ride), and the final session progresses to learning the correct techniques for braking, signalling and using gears (basic skills).
The aim is to develop mastery in cycle handling in a off-road, supportive and enclosed environment and to prepare riders for cycling on the road. The course will take place in the enclosed top deck of the UoB Sport and Fitness Centre, which offers an off-road environment and privacy.
A course of four two-hour sessions. Open to students and staff. Bikes provided or bring your own.
Six participants maximum. Please email sustainabletravel@contacts.bham.ac.uk if you have any questions (copy and paste this address if the purple button does not work in your browser).
