University ring road closure: 30-31 August

The University ring road will be closed this weekend (30-31 August) between the Munrow Sports Centre and the current library for essential preparation work on the site of the new library development.

This closure takes place at the same time as the ring road is closed near to the Guild of Students and so anyone wishing to use the ring road this weekend should note that it will not be possible to drive from one side of campus to the other in a vehicle.

To reach the Munrow Sports Centre and west side of campus, the best entrance to use will be West Gate near the train station.

Likewise, anyone who needs to drive to the east side of campus, including the Barber Institute of the Guild of Students, should use East Gate.

We are aware that this closure may cause some inconvenience to people using campus at the weekend and apologise for this. We have tried to plan these essential works for a quiet time out of term time, and thank you for your patience.
