Holocaust Memorial Day

TLB behind berries

This Saturday 27 January is Holocaust Memorial Day

It is a day of remembrance for the millions of victims of the Holocaust under Nazi Persecution, and in the genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.

To mark the day, the University’s Jewish society are proud to announce they will be hosting a talk with Holocaust survivor Janine Webber

Janine will share her testimony alongside the Holocaust Educational Trust, to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day.

This event is more important than ever as we keep stories like hers alive, 79 years on. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity to ask questions to Janine about her experiences.

The talk will be taking place on Tuesday 23 January in the Teaching and Learning Building, Lecture Theatre 1, from 19:00 to 21:00. Both staff and students are welcome to attend, however booking is compulsory.
