Birmingham International Academy works with Schools and Colleges across the University to support international undergraduate and postgraduate students with Academic English. We also deliver Foundation Pathways and the Presessional English courses for international students.
The unit is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK and at its last inspection in February 2022, the Accreditation Scheme noted ten areas of strength. These strengths are in the areas of strategic and quality management, staff management, premises and facilities, learning resources, academic staff profile, academic management, course design, learner management, teaching and care of students.
