BIA Student Reps

Student Representatives are students from your programme who listen to your feedback and help us make positive changes. As a student at the BIA you can talk to your student representative and raise any concerns, or make suggestions about things you would like to see happen. Student Reps will take these things forward on your behalf.

The Student Representation System (SRS) runs in partnership between the University of Birmingham and the Guild of Students. It is one of the many ways you can have your say, get involved and improve your education at Birmingham.

Who can become a rep? What do they do?

The BIA Student Reps work hard to make sure your voice is heard by the University on a variety of subjects that affect your academic experience. Any student can become a BIA Student Rep and anyone can tell their BIA Student Rep about the good and not so good things on their course.

  • Timetabling of your sessions, lectures and seminars
  • The teaching and learning content of your course
  • The level of feedback you get in your essays
  • The administration of your course
  • BIA social events, activities and the wellbeing service
  • The wider experience of being at the University
