Wellbeing Wednesday - 10 June 2026

We hope you’re enjoying a well-deserved break now that assessments have finished. As Summer Term begins, take some time to explore what’s happening across campus:

  • UoB Xtra
  • Giving Loneliness a Voice
  • Extenuating Circumstances

UoB Xtra

Summer has arrived, and it’s time to unwind and connect with others on campus. Discover all the activities taking place to help build your skills and your connections with Summer Term and UoB Xtra.

Giving Loneliness a Voice

Loneliness Awareness Week takes place from 15–21 June, encouraging open conversations about loneliness and reducing stigma through this year’s theme, “Giving Loneliness a Voice”.

Looking to make new connections this summer? Meet other UoB students in a fun, relaxed setting during UoB Xtra.

Extenuating Circumstances

If you submitted an Extenuating Circumstances (EC) request that has been reviewed by the EC Panel, you will receive the outcome after your marks have been ratified by the exam board and released to you on 22 June.

Please note, we can no longer consider any further EC requests for Semester 1 or Semester 2 assessments. If you have extenuating circumstances that are unknown to the Board of Examiners, please follow the Academic Appeals process. You can submit an academic appeal within 10 working days of your results being released.

If you’d like support with the academic appeal process, contact Guild Advice - Guild of Students.
