Countdown to Christmas on campus

This year we are offering you two weeks of jam-packed Christmas festivities, full of exciting activities and experiences. Based on our main campus and beyond, there will be a range of seasonal events taking place every day from the 1-17 December! So whether you want to meet Santa and his reindeer, take a selfie in our giant snow globe, sample some Digbeth Dining delights or just enjoy choirs around the Christmas tree, there is some Christmas joy for everyone!

Wednesday 1 December

Santa Claus is coming to campus!

The big man himself will be on campus with his beautiful reindeer. No matter how old you are, there's nothing more exciting than meeting Santa so come along and grab a selfie or two!

Campus lights and Old Joe switch on!

From 17:00 (lights switch on 17:15)

Christmas will come to life on campus with the Christmas lights switch on. Gather around to see the twinkling lights on the tree and an animated festive projection on to Old Joe. Before the big switch on, get into the Christmas spirit with festive carols and music from 5pm.

University Carol Service

We are delighted to be joining with you to celebrate festivities as part of Countdown to Christmas, but would please remind you to be considerate of others who wish to maintain a distance and reduce close contacts. We are strongly advising face coverings to be worn at Countdown to Christmas events.

We strongly encourage good personal hygiene practices, regularly washing or sanitising your hands, catching coughs and sneezes in tissues, and avoid touching your face with unclean hands.
