20-credit professional development module
The Professional Development Module (PDM) is an award winning 20-credit final year module in the College of Social Sciences.
The module includes a summer work placement of at least 40 hours which can include, internships, part-time, voluntary, full time, working from home and more!
Join the Placements Team and our Student Ambassadors at the Module Information sessions in January and February.
Teaching for the module begins in the summer with a placement induction day on 10 June 2024. You don’t need to have secured a placement yet to sign up for the module, and you could potentially use the Gateway to Work Experience Bursary to fund your placement.
The Placements Team support you in your placement search and source exclusive opportunities, including an exciting placement at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
