Canvas Update: 12 May 2026
We were pleased to note that Canvas has been operating normally over the weekend and into this week – at the start of a busy time for many of our students.
As a reminder, and for clarification of recent announcements on assessment deadlines -
- All assessment submission deadlines from Friday 8 May to Wednesday 13 May inclusive are now due by 1700 BST on Wednesday 13 May.
- These extensions will be applied automatically, and you do not need to take any action. Canvas submission portals are being updated to reflect the amended deadlines.
- Please note that you may still submit assessments before the revised deadline. You should manage your assessment workload in the way that works best for you.
- All other upcoming deadlines, from Thursday 14 May onwards, currently stand. This means you should continue to work towards meeting these deadlines, as planned.
- Any changes to scheduled examinations will be notified to students directly. You should expect examinations to go ahead as planned and prepare accordingly. Good Luck!
