Ever thought about creating content for UoB?

If you have been scrolling through UoB’s social media, you have already seen the work of our Student Content Shapers

They are the faces behind the videos, the voices behind the blogs and the creators bringing student life at Birmingham to your feed. From TikTok trends, YouTube vlogs,  Instagram reels and the hottest blogs, their content is designed to feel real, useful and relatable.

If it looks like something you would enjoy, this is your chance to get involved.

Applications for Student Content Shapers are open, and the deadline to apply is 1 April.

What does a Student Content Shaper do?

What you will get involved in

-Creating and editing video content for social media
-Writing blogs and web content
-Presenting in videos and taking part in photoshoots

-Supporting campaigns and major student events such as Welcome and UoB Xtra

Why apply?

This is a flexible, part time role designed to fit around your studies, with up to 15 hours per week. You will work as part of a pool of creators, with opportunities based on content needs and your strengths.

It is a chance to build hands on experience in marketing and content creation, develop your skills in video editing and storytelling, and gain insight into how digital campaigns are created. You will also be part of a creative and collaborative team.

Who can apply?

We are looking for students from all backgrounds, including undergraduate, postgraduate, international, commuter, mature and distance learners.

You do not need to have done everything before. If you are creative, confident sharing ideas and interested in social media this role could be for you.
