Free giveaways at the new Community Safety Hub

Your friendly Community Safety Team, based at the new Community Safety Hub, are available daily to support you and can provide free safety and security products.

Pop along to Lodge 2, North Gate entrance on main campus and meet our friendly team. They offer a safe, confidential space to ask any safety questions or share your concerns. Open all year round 10.00am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday. 

Pick up your FREE safety and security products:

  • Personal safety alarms 

  • Home security devices (windows and door alarms) 

  • Bike D-locks 

  • Contactless card defenders (protecting cards in your purse/wallet from having info scanned) 

  • Anti - theft bells 

  • Anti – theft purse cables 

  • Web cam covers 

  • Useful information booklets

Safe Zone 

SafeZone is our mobile app designed to give you extra peace of mind on campus and at university accommodation. The SafeZone app is free to download and easy to use. Check-in at any time of day and share your location so we know where you are on campus if you’re working or studying alone. Find out more
